Title：Surface finish machining of mechanical parts
      Grinding is a kind of cutting process which takes the high-speed rotation of the grinding wheel as the main motion, and the low-speed rotation of the workpiece and the linear movement (or the movement of the grinding head) as the feed motion to cut off the excess metal layer on the workpiece. Grinding is one of the common machining methods in mechanical manufacturing.

      Grinding is widely used in many fields, such as inner and outer cylindrical surface, inner and outer cone surface, plane, forming surface and combined surface. Grinding can be used to machine high hard and superhard materials, such as hardened steel, cemented carbide and ceramics, which are difficult to be machined by other cutting methods. Grinding can also be used for rough machining (grinding billet, cutting and pouring riser, etc.), rough machining, finishing and superfinishing.

      Each grinding wheel is equivalent to one grinding tool. During grinding, the protruding and sharp corner particles cut fine chips from the surface of the workpiece; the blunt or less protruding abrasive particles can only draw small grooves on the surface of the workpiece; the concave abrasive particles will have sliding friction with the workpiece surface, and the latter two will produce fine dust during grinding. Therefore, the grinding process is different from the general cutting process. In addition to the cutting function, it also has the function of marking and polishing.
